Last month, the Secretary of State granted the North Falls Offshore Wind Farm DCO. This article explores the key points arising - some interesting and useful direction on the duty to conserve and enhance for landscape effects. That's the last of a suite of offshore wind decisions that DESNZ has determined over the past few years. The Morgan & Morecambe Transmission Assets decision is due in a few month's time. Otherwise we are waiting on the next batch to make their way through the system - Dogger Bank D, Gwynt Glas and the other Celtic sea projects. Meanwhile the Scottish Government continues to have its hands full, with a large complement of s36 applications awaiting determination with no indicated decision dates available.
