A bibliometric analysis just published in the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (JAAOS), covering 44 years of literature (1980–2024), found that among >1000 institutions worldwide, the Universiteit van Amsterdam contributed the most publications. We are also happy to state that we ranked among the institutions with the strongest international collaboration intensity in this field reflecting what has always driven our work: rigorous science, built together. This is a testament to the dedication and output of the Amsterdam UMC - Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine in which the Amsterdam Ankle Cartilage Team is embedded. We are a group committed to pushing the boundaries of cartilage repair and OLT management, from basic science to clinical practice.
