The IPCEI “Advanced Semiconductor Technologies” (AST) sends a clear and encouraging signal for Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem. We highly appreciate the rapid action taken by the German government to advance this initiative. We are proud that ams OSRAM is part of the first proposed projects submitted to the European Commission, helping drive the next wave of Digital Photonics innovation. By combining advanced optical semiconductor emitters and sensors with intelligent controls, Digital Photonics will enable breakthrough applications in AI hardware, Augmented Reality, smart mobility and beyond.
