We always talk about women breaking glass Ceileing. What an inspirational journey. I read the article published in Indian express which talks about how she traversed her place in the male-dominated world of surgical oncology. the article also lists one instance where she says " Hailing from Kannada Medium, she struggled in English Medium medical school. “When I failed physiology, I packed my bags and went home, thinking it was over,” she recalls. “But my youngest sister, Jayashree, said, ‘I failed in first grade, but I didn’t cry like you.’ That hit me.” she went back and thats resilience. she was the First Women resident and Surgeon at Kidwai memorial in 1994.
