This month, I and the OG Smokescreen – Acquired by Zscaler team, complete 5 years at Zscaler. Some crazy things we've accomplished in this time: - 30x growth in revenue - 40x growth in customers - Extended Zscaler's core zero trust platform with Deception - 1000s of security teams that considered Deception good to have now use it as an essential control for stopping lateral movement - 99% of the team from the acquisition is intact and has grown with us This has been the longest I've worked for a company and Zscaler has been a great place. Incredible leadership – Jay Chaudhry for betting very early on Deception. Deepen Desai for being the champion and sponsor from day one. Matt Sidhu for guiding us through the transition and integration. Pranab Sharma for orchestrating strategic packaging. Phenomenol product leadership under Adam Geller and Andy Skrei. All my former managers who had my back – Dhawal Sharma, Rick Miles, and Raj Krishna. And most importantly, just a privilege to go on this journey with the OG Deception crew – Sahir Hidayatullah, Bhavesh Kothari, Abhishek Parikh, Sudarshan P., and Jess Gonsalves. It takes a village and none of this would be possible without my engineering and GTM teams – too many names here to fit. With breakneck AI adoption and the rise in agentic attacks, the thesis behind Deception is coming full circle. Deception is how you beat the agentic attacker. Can't wait to share what we're doing here in the next couple of months.
