At 13, Rihem Sassi wrote a promise to herself in a diary, in English, a language she'd only just started learning. One day, she would graduate from one of the world's top universities. Years later, back home in Tunisia after earning her degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, she found that diary again and realized she'd done exactly what she set out to do. Her journey from Amideast English classes in Tunisia to Wharton and now a career in New York is a story of determination and the support that carried her every step of the way.
