𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. That was the starting point of one of our 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗨𝗻𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 on Conservation Tech, led by Jan and Theresa. 🌱 At AMES, 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 is a tool to 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲. That's why every technology investment is guided by a simple set of questions: Does it create real impact in the field? Can it scale? And is it cost-effective? 🛰️ The session explored how this thinking translates into practice. From wildlife monitoring and anti-poaching to biodiversity and habitat assessments, many conservation challenges rely on a similar technology stack. 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀. 📊 As 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 becomes increasingly 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱, accessible and reliable information helps communities, practitioners, partners and funders make better decisions, track progress and demonstrate impact. 📱One of the highlights was an early look at the 𝗠𝗩𝗣 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗽𝗽 & 𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱, designed to 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲.
