What a day. Last Friday, Guardians, Junior Guardians, partners, supporters and friends of AMES came together for the AMES Summit 2026 in Berlin. 🦏 🌍 The Summit is our opportunity to reconnect around what matters most: protecting and restoring nature together. 💡 This year, we introduced AMES Unpacked for the first time. An afternoon of deeper conversations about biodiversity protection, habitat expansion and how we work to make conservation scalable and sustainable. 🤝 One of the highlights was welcoming Div de Villiers, who has dedicated more than four decades to conservation in South Africa and now serves as Conservation Advisor for the Mkambati Nature Reserve. Hearing directly from local partners like Div is a reminder of what makes the AMES approach different: lasting conservation can only succeed when it is built together with the people who know these landscapes best. Because real impact doesn't happen from afar. It happens through long-term partnerships, local expertise and communities that share a common vision. 🙌 A special thank you also to our financial sponsors, including JustWatch, Brightpoint Group, reQ, Tilia, Gerlich Bönig Rechtsanwälte and KLP who made this Summit possible. Thanks to their support, no conservation funding was used for the event itself. Every euro intended for conservation stays in conservation. And of course we would also like to thank our in-kind sponsors for their generous support and contributions, which helped create such a special experience for our community. 💚 To everyone who joined us: thank you for being part of this journey. This community is, and always will be, the backbone of AMES. 🎥 Video Credit: Jannik Gramm Dr. Marlon Braumann | Marios Michaelides | Lea C.
