Last week, The King's Trust marked an incredible milestone — celebrating 50 years of supporting and transforming the lives of young people across the UK and around the world. On the Monday evening, at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, guests came together for an unforgettable evening of music, comedy, awards and inspiring stories, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. The evening recognised the courage, creativity and achievements of young people supported by The King’s Trust, while also celebrating the incredible people and organisations helping to drive that impact forward. Tony McKean and Matthew O'Brien from our Retail Support Centre, were shortlisted for the Outstanding Individual Award at the Million Makers 2025 National Final — recognition for the passion, energy and commitment they have shown in supporting The King's Trust. Their nomination reflected the impact they have made through fundraising, driving engagement across the business and championing the partnership throughout American Golf. Seeing them recognised on the night was incredibly well deserved. The celebrations continued on the Thursday afternoon in the gardens of Buckingham Palace, where supporters, partners, volunteers and friends of the Trust came together for a 50th Anniversary Garden Party. Since 2024, American Golf has proudly supported The King’s Trust through the Million Makers fundraising scheme, helping raise awareness and funds to support young people across the UK. Our very own Nigel Oddy and Elaine Wrigley were invited to attend the celebrations and help mark this important milestone alongside fellow supporters of the Trust. A fantastic week, and brilliant reminder of the positive difference strong partnerships can make, and the contribution American Golf has made over the past 2 years.
