"I didn't have good coping skills, even from childhood." It’s #MensHealthMonth, and we’re revisiting the story of Oxford Treatment Center alumnus, Frank. For years, Frank struggled with #PTSD and addiction, believing he had to handle everything on his own. Without the coping skills he needed, he eventually realized he couldn’t do it alone and that seeking support was essential. In the clip below, Frank reflects on his life, sharing how even from an early age he lacked the tools to process difficult emotions. Instead, he threw himself into other pursuits to distract from the pain. Frank's story isn’t unique. Many men are taught to push their feelings aside, often channeling their energy into activities like athletics or work rather than addressing what’s beneath the surface. But real strength isn’t about pushing through in silence; it’s about recognizing when you need support and choosing a different path forward. 💙💪
