As we recognize #Juneteenth, we honor a pivotal moment in our nation’s history and reflect on the enduring importance of freedom, equality, and human dignity. Juneteenth commemorates the day when the last enslaved African Americans learned they were free, reminding us that the promise of equality requires both reflection and action. In healthcare, that means recognizing the inherent worth of every individual and striving to ensure that compassion, respect, and quality care are available to all. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity and given the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. As Desmond Tutu said, "My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together." ❤️ As we commemorate Juneteenth, we honor the resilience of those who came before us and reaffirm our commitment to treating every person who walks through our doors with the compassion and respect they deserve.
