Brüttener Tunnel: Amberg Engineering contributes to the future of Swiss rail mobility A major milestone has been reached with the groundbreaking ceremony for the MehrSpur Zürich–Winterthur project, one of Switzerland’s most important rail infrastructure projects. SBB CFF FFS is expanding the rail corridor between Zurich and Winterthur from two to four tracks, removing a key bottleneck in the Swiss rail network. The centrepiece of the project is the Brüttener Tunnel, which will increase capacity, improve reliability and strengthen passenger and freight transport across Switzerland 🇨🇭 . Amberg Engineering is proud to support this landmark project during the planning phase as part of the IG BRÜTT+ consortium, together with lead partner ILF Consulting Engineers and our partners Emch+Berger Group , Aegerter & Bosshardt, Gysi Leoni Mader AG and Amstein+Walthert .
