La Nación Siekopaai se movilizó en #Quito, frente a la Corte Constitucional y el Ministerio de Ambiente y Energia, para exigir el cumplimiento de la titulación de Pë’këya, su territorio ancestral. En noviembre de 2023, la Corte Provincial de Sucumbíos ordenó al Estado ecuatoriano entregarles el título colectivo de 42.360 hectáreas. Casi tres años después, la sentencia sigue sin cumplirse. Cada día que pasa sin que se ejecute es una nueva injusticia para su pueblo. Hoy, solo hay aproximadamente 800 Siekopaai que permanecen en #Ecuador. Pë’këya es el centro de su identidad cultural, su memoria colectiva y su forma de entender el mundo. In November 2023, the Provincial Court of Sucumbíos ordered the Ecuadorian State to grant them collective title to 42,360 hectares of territory. Nearly three years later, the ruling remains unfulfilled. Every day that passes without its implementation is another injustice against the Siekopaai people. Today, approximately only 800 Siekopaai remain in #Ecuador. Pë’këya is the center of their cultural identity, collective memory, and way of understanding the world.
