Driving member value through strategic leadership, creative innovation, and people development | Championing business growth at Business Central & Wellington Chamber of Commerce
Rotorua this week was a good reminder of why chambers matter. Chambers exist all over the world and in Aotearoa there’s a real sense of community behind the network. We connect. We share. We back each other. And that matters right now. Productivity was a strong theme. Not just doing more, but doing things better — lifting capability, building higher-value businesses, and making smarter use of tools like AI. A big thank you to the Rotorua Business Chamber and Melanie Short. Exceptionally well run, with a great mix of perspectives. Great to see 2degrees as headline sponsor, alongside Air New Zealand, Bunnings, Z Energy, Noel Leeming and OfficeMax — a strong group backing chambers and business across the country. And Rotorua delivered. Te Puia, the Redwoods — and even Maketū pies from a vending machine. A good reminder of how place, culture, and business come together in New Zealand. Proud to be part of this network. Melanie Short Rotorua Business Chamber Paul Ingram Wellington Chamber of Commerce 2degrees Air New Zealand OfficeMax New Zealand Bunnings Noel Leeming
