What if you could redesign the blueprint of life? For our In Focus interview with Ola (Aleksandra) Wlodek, CEO of Constructive Bio, we explore a radical idea: rewriting entire genomes from the ground up to create cells that can produce things nature never could. This isn’t gene editing one tweak at a time. Constructive Bio designs genomes in silico, builds them, and turns cells into programmable biofactories. The aim is to produce complex proteins, peptides and new-to-nature materials in a scalable way, with significantly lower waste.
