Some people spend years searching for the words to describe who they are. This Pride Month, we're celebrating the moments that finally made those words possible. This is Emily Host's. "I grew up in a very small, conservative town. There was no education on being queer or what that even meant. For a long time, fitting in wasn't really a choice. It was survival. I didn't fully understand what being myself looked like until college, when I was finally exposed to more culture, more diversity, and more people who were living authentically. That exposure changed everything. My brother came out a few months before I did. That mattered more than I can explain. Watching him do it, seeing how people responded, gave me just enough courage to take the same step. When I finally did, nobody was surprised. But here's what I've carried with me since then. Everyone is going to have opinions about who you are and how you live. That's never going to stop. What changes is how much weight you give those opinions. Don't let other people's reactions become the reason you stay hidden. Your life is yours to live. #PeopleOfAlteryx #PrideMonth
