The final keynote at Alteryx On Tour London saw Professor Kevin Fong OBE share a fascinating perspective on leadership, decision making, and navigating uncertainty in the age of AI. Kevin is an astrophysicist, emergency medicine doctor, former NASA researcher, and former National Clinical Advisor to NHS England during COVID-19. He also hosts the BBC podcast The Artificial Human, where he explores AI with guests ranging from Nobel Prize winners to Governors of the Bank of England. Drawing on his experience in emergency medicine, space research, and healthcare, he showed how high performance teams partner with technology and use data, information, and insight to shape leadership and guide teamwork. One message resonated throughout the session: organisations can have the same technology and training, yet achieve very different outcomes. Success comes from combining technical capability with human judgement, collaboration, and the confidence to make decisions in uncertain environments.
