The Kingdom of Ailm is a video game that supports children recovering from severe burns. 🎮 Created in partnership with Association de Brûlés Burns and Smiles and driven by volunteers across ALTEN, the mobile game accompanies young patients during long hospital stays. One-third of major burn victims are under five years old. After morning treatment, the hours that follow can feel endless. The project began with a simple question: how can technology ease that time? Engineers like Marvin COMLAN, alongside developers and digital specialists across different countries, collaborated to build an interactive world that does two things at once. It distracts children through play, and it quietly explains the care pathway — helping them and their families understand what is happening. 🧠 Here, technical precision and human sensitivity converge to help children feel safer in unfamiliar surroundings.
