How can specialty chemicals help drive the transition toward a more sustainable future? With this question in mind, Master's and Ph.D. students from the JungesChemieForum (JCF) der Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker e.V. (GDCh) recently visited us in Wesel. The participants gained insights into our company as well as our innovation and sustainability strategy. Dr. Michael Berkei and Dr. Martin Winter shared how we bring sustainability and innovation together at ALTANA—true to our purpose of #DiscoverGoodChemistry. The topic then came to life during a tour of the High-Throughput-Screening (HTS) facility and production site at our BYK Additives division. Claudia Bramlage and Stephan Patt provided a behind-the-scenes look at how innovative solutions are developed in practice. The conversation continued during an interactive World Café, where participants exchanged ideas with our experts on the role of specialty chemicals in building a more sustainable future, how ESG can create real impact, the importance of Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), and what the next generation expects from employers. The day concluded with a look toward the future: Our colleagues Christopher Drzazga, Sabina Davletkildeeva and Magdalena Rückl shared what it’s like to start a career at ALTANA, offered insights into our development opportunities, and answered questions about making the transition from academia to industry. 👉 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗔 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽?
