A racist, violent verbal attack was made against the ridiculously brilliant, stunningly gorgeous, unbelievably classy First Lady, Michelle Obama. And yet, at the very same time, the Obamas unveiled a breathtaking portrait by Nigerian-born artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby that will hang in the Obama Presidential Center, a powerful symbol of love, legacy, joy, and true power. The contrast says everything. Some people spend their energy trying to diminish what they fear. Others spend their energy building institutions, creating art, and leaving behind a legacy that will outlive the noise. May the Obamas remain unbothered. May their love continue to inspire. And may we never underestimate the power of grace in the face of hatred. ✨
