On B.C. northwest coast, connection starts with community. In Prince Rupert, Friendship House has supported First Nations people traveling to the community for decades. As needs evolved, the Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW) transportation program was created to provide safe, affordable travel along the Highway 16 corridor – helping connect people to healthcare, education, employment, and essential services. We are honoured to support organizations like the Friendship House that are rooted in community belonging, cultural connecting and investing in critical support and services to support the people in community. Our presence in Prince Rupert is more than energy infrastructure. It's about supporting community priorities and supporting the solutions that improve safety, accessibility, and long-term wellbeing across the region.
