New platforms at Airport Station on Hong Kong’s Airport Express have now entered service, supporting the airport’s next phase of growth. Delivered in close collaboration with MTR Corporation Limited 香港鐵路有限公司 this milestone reflects a shared commitment to upgrading live railway infrastructure safely and efficiently. The project enabled the opening of Platforms 3 and 4 at Airport Station, seamlessly connecting to Terminal 2. This supports the upgraded Terminal 2 at Hong Kong International Airport, providing air travellers with a carefree and seamless travel experience. It will also improve passenger flow between rail and air travel. The project required precise modifications to the railway signalling system, all delivered while the Airport Express remained fully operational. Working closely with MTR, teams completed installation, testing and commissioning safely, without impacting daily passenger services. This milestone demonstrates how close collaboration and detailed planning can unlock new infrastructure within an existing railway, helping Hong Kong’s transport network stay ready for what’s next. #HongKong #Signalling
