⚡ Upgrading flexibility and capacity at the heart of the Gougra facility Alpiq and partners of the Forces Motrices de la Gougra are investing around CHF 40 million in the modernisation of the Vissoie power plant – a key asset within the Gougra hydropower complex in Valais. 💧 The ongoing works include the full replacement of the three generating units, resulting in 25% capacity increase and an additional annual production of around 5 GWh. Beyond the capacity gain, the upgrade significantly enhances operational flexibility – enabling faster and more precise response to grid fluctuations and supporting the integration of intermittent renewable generation.
