Did you know? A standing ring of stones as tall as 30 ft & as heavy as 40 tons, Stonehenge is a prehistoric site dating back approximately 5k years. Some archaeologists suggest that Stonehenge was built in stages across one and a half millennia. The stones are not indigenous to the immediate region. It’s assumed that they’re from a quarry approx 20 miles away. There are historians and anthropologists in agreement that it is of arresting importance; but what it was built for, but still have not confirmed the why and how of this landmark masterpiece.
