How can businesses harness the potential of Generative AI while managing the legal and regulatory risks that come with it? We recently held a seminar titled “From Prompt to Precedent: Evolving Legal Perspectives on Generative AI” which explored how courts and regulators are adapting to the challenges posed by AI, drawing on recent case law and emerging disputes shaping the global legal landscape. Our Head of Intellectual Property Practice and Co-Head of Cybersecurity & Data Protection Practice Dr Stanley Lai, SC, alongside Partner Jia Yi Toh (杜佳怡) and Senior Associate David L., led the discussion on key developments in AI. They spoke on the emerging wave of AI-related intellectual property litigation in the areas of AI training and outputs, as well as evolving regulatory frameworks and best practices for responsible AI deployment. It was an engaging session on how companies can leverage GenAI confidently whilst remaining fully aware of applicable intellectual property risks, so as to maximize the opportunities and complexities of AI adoption and content generation in a rapidly changing environment. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversations. We look forward to future dialogues as the AI legal landscape continues to evolve. #allenandgledhill #singapore #GenAI #artificialintelligence #AI #intellectualproperty #legaldisputes #legal #seminar #regulatory #trends #developments
