We are honoured to have hosted Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Law and Transport, Mr Murali Pillai SC, at our office for an engagement session with our colleagues. SMS Murali touched on the ongoing Ministry of Law, Singapore initiatives relevant to legal practitioners, and the latest developments concerning the legal profession. This was followed by a dialogue session with our Managing Partner Jerry Koh, where SMS Murali shared valuable perspectives from his time practising as a lawyer to his appointments in the Ministry of Law and the Ministry of Transport, Singapore, his views on keeping up with the latest legal industry trends, as well as advice to our younger lawyers on navigating their professional legal journey. It was also inspiring for our lawyers to hear about SMS Murali’s stories and experiences from his time at A&G, including some of the most memorable cases he worked on. The engagement session concluded with a short presentation on A&G’s AI capabilities with A&GEL (our GenAI platform), our ESG capabilities and sustainability efforts, as well as our “A&G in the Community” efforts and latest Pro Bono initiatives by Partners Tham Kok Leong, Elsa Chen and Lei Theng Lim respectively.
