CPO Philips. Triple bottom line business executive … people, planet, profit.

By unlearning traditional mindset, there is the opportunity to collaborate and innovate together. Example: In preparation for 2026, I am unlearning and asking my team to unlearn WHY we meet. All meeting names can no longer include the word „Review“ and instead. need to include „Action and Decision Making“. Yes, it makes meeting names longer but it also changes the purpose. Instead of preparing for a meeting where someone else is making judgments or looking for holes in your ideas, the participants are invited to come together to learn about how to change (through defined actions) and to come together to make decisions that will drive actions. That Monthly Performance Review that used to take hours to prepare for and that was a presentation now stops. We replace it with the Monthly Action and Decision Making Meeting where we recognize results and where we will spend time interacting and thinking together. What was an Event to prepare for becomes a live data-driven process of inputs and outputs that empower teams to not ask for permission but instead to define their destiny with the end goal in mind. Unlearning to make space for learning may just become the most powerful change agent in the year ahead. Thank you Kamalpreet Singh for your post!
