Hi dear connection, Today, on 12/12/2025, I together with, Alma R, Tawananyasha Tinarwo, Qianxin Tan, 刘津含, Mahdiyyah Rusmaully and Bambang Stevanus salim are excited to share that as part of our Emotional Intelligence in Action (EIA) Module at Taylor's University, under the guidance of Mr. Sharvinder Raj. My team and I carried out the empathy project (Storytelling) with the 'Autism' community. Here are some of our key experiences and takeaways: 1) We learned that silence does not mean a lack of emotion — autistic individuals feel deeply, even if they show it differently. 2) The story helped us understand how sensory overload and everyday noises can strongly affect someone with autism. 3) Empathy is built through small gestures of patience and understanding, not necessarily through words. 4) We realised that autistic individuals have unique strengths, and inclusion starts when we appreciate their world instead of expecting them to fit ours. Overall, this project has helped us grow emotionally and gain a sense of empathy for this particular community. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn and contribute.
