The technology first appeared at the 2022 Qatar World Cup with the Al Rihla ball. The Trionda takes it a step further. The ball has already proven its worth at this tournament — sensor data from inside the ball was used to adjudicate a goal. One fascinating detail: the ball needs to be charged before each match.
