🇩🇿🤝🇩🇪 Algeria–Germany: A New Automotive Industrial Chapter let's Go It was a privilege to participate in the Algeria–Germany Automotive Industry and Supplier Roundtable, alongside leading decision-makers from the automotive sector. The announcement by @Florian Huettl, CEO of @Opel, confirming Opel’s plans for local vehicle production and the signing of an MoU with AGM Holding Company for local engine manufacturing in Algeria, represents a historic industrial milestone. Following the success of the @Stellantis–@FIAT project, Opel’s decision confirms the growing confidence of global manufacturers in Algeria’s industrial potential. A special recognition to @Raoui Beji, whose intervention demonstrated the progress achieved by Stellantis in Algeria and the favorable environment now being built for local integration, supplier development and industrial skills. This momentum is supported by: ✅ A young and competitive workforce ✅ Universities and vocational training centers ready to support industry ✅ Attractive investment incentives through @AAPI ✅ Competitive energy and operating costs ✅ More than 11 commercial ports and 13 major airports ✅ Fast maritime access to European markets ✅ Strong potential for Just-in-Time and Just-in-Sequence logistics During my intervention, I presented the work of the AIDA – CREA National Automotive Subcontracting Commission, including the national mapping of automotive suppliers, Algeria’s industrial capabilities and the development of a complete local value chain. I would also like to sincerely thank @Marius Ochel and @VDA – German Association of the Automotive Industry for their constructive contribution and their positive vision regarding Algeria’s automotive opportunities. Our commission is fully available to support German OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and equipment manufacturers seeking reliable Algerian partners and sustainable industrial opportunities. Algeria is ready.
