🐝Small wings. Big impact. Today marks an exciting milestone as we proudly signed an MOU with Terra – Expo City Dubai, becoming the very first school to join the Hundred Hives initiative. This partnership was formalised by Mira Al Futtaim, Chief Future Education Officer, Al-Futtaim Education Foundation and Chairwoman of Emiratisation, Al-Futtaim, and and Marjan Faraidooni, Chief of Education and Culture at Expo City Dubai — and Marjan said it best: "Education has the power to shape the future, and nature-first experiences inspire curiosity, responsibility and action. We are proud to welcome Deira International School as the first school to join the Hundred Hives initiative and look forward to seeing the impact this programme has on future generations." Together, we're bringing a living ecosystem onto our campus — giving students the opportunity to experience sustainability first-hand while developing a deeper understanding of biodiversity, pollinators and the interconnected natural systems that support life. We're turning curiosity into action, and classrooms into launchpads for a greener future. Because protecting our planet is a shared responsibility, and it starts younger than you think. 🌿 🐝 خطوة صغيرة اليوم... وأثر يمتد إلى المستقبل. نفخر بتوقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع تيرا – إكسبو سيتي دبي، لتصبح مدرسة ديرة الدولية أول مدرسة تنضم إلى مبادرة Hundred Hives، في خطوة تعكس التزامنا بغرس قيم الاستدامة لدى الأجيال القادمة. وقد وقّعت الاتفاقية كل من ميرة الفطيم، رئيسة مجلس التوطين في الفطيم والرئيسة التنفيذية لمستقبل التعليم في مؤسسة الفطيم التعليمية، ومرجان فريدوني، رئيسة التعليم والثقافة في إكسبو سيتي دبي، التي قالت: "يمتلك التعليم القدرة على رسم ملامح المستقبل، كما أن التجارب المستوحاة من الطبيعة تنمّي الفضول، وتعزز الشعور بالمسؤولية، وتلهم العمل. ويسعدنا أن نرحب بمدرسة ديرة الدولية كأول مدرسة تنضم إلى مبادرة Hundred Hives، ونتطلع إلى الأثر الذي سيحدثه هذا البرنامج في الأجيال القادمة." ومن خلال هذه الشراكة، سيخوض طلابنا تجربة تعليمية فريدة داخل الحرم المدرسي، تتيح لهم التعرّف عن قرب إلى التنوع البيولوجي، وأهمية الملقحات، والدور الحيوي الذي تؤديه النظم البيئية في الحفاظ على استدامة الحياة. فحين يصبح التعلم تجربة تُعاش، يتحول الفضول إلى وعي، والوعي إلى مسؤولية، والمسؤولية إلى خطوات حقيقية نحو مستقبل أكثر استدامة. #AlFuttaim #Sustainability #Education #ExpoCityDubai #Terra #HundredHives #الفطيم #الاستدامة #التعليم #إكسبو_سيتي_دبي
