Twenty years ago, one of the first stones laid in Dubai Festival City was for a school. Not a tower. A school. That single decision said everything about what this community was built to stand for. It reflected a belief that communities are built not only through places and infrastructure, but through people, learning and opportunity. Placing education at the heart of a growing community was a deliberate choice, and over the past two decades, that vision has shaped thousands of lives and futures. This week, we celebrated not only the 20th anniversary of Universal American School and Deira International School, but also the people who made this milestone possible. We honoured the long-serving staff whose dedication, passion and commitment have shaped these schools over the years, alongside the parents and alumni who have been part of the journey from the very beginning and helped turn that vision into a lasting legacy. Because the greatest measure of any vision is not what was built, but the lives it changed. 💛 To everyone who has been part of this story, thank you. You are not just part of a school community. You are family. 🤍 قبل عشرين عاماً، كان أحد أوائل الأحجار التي وُضعت في دبي فستيفال سيتي حجرَ أساسٍ لمدرسة. ولم يكن ذلك مجرد قرار، بل كان انعكاساً واضحاً للقيم التي قامت عليها هذه الوجهة منذ اليوم الأول. فالمجتمعات لا تُبنى بالمباني والبنية التحتية وحدها، بل بالاستثمار في الإنسان، والتعليم، وصناعة الفرص. ولهذا، جاء التعليم في صميم الرؤية منذ البداية، ليصبح على مدى العقدين الماضيين نقطة انطلاق لآلاف الطلبة، ويسهم في رسم ملامح مستقبلهم. هذا الأسبوع، لم نحتفل فقط بالذكرى العشرين للمدرسة العالمية الأمريكية ومدرسة ديرة الدولية، بل احتفلنا أيضاً بالأشخاص الذين صنعوا هذه المسيرة. وكرّمنا الكوادر التعليمية والإدارية التي كرّست سنوات من العطاء والشغف والالتزام، إلى جانب أولياء الأمور والخريجين الذين رافقوا الرحلة منذ بدايتها وأسهموا في تحويل تلك الرؤية إلى إرثٍ مستدام. لأن القيمة الحقيقية لأي رؤية لا تُقاس بما بُني، بل بالأثر الذي تتركه في حياة الناس. 💛 شكراً لكل من كان جزءاً من هذه القصة. فأنتم لستم مجرد أفراد في مجتمعٍ مدرسي... أنتم جزءٌ من عائلتنا. 🤍 #AlFuttaim #OneFamily #الفطيم #أسرة_واحدة
