Yesterday marked an emotional and proud milestone for our district. As a board member, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing Dr. Lorraine Mora Perez’s exceptional leadership firsthand during her time as Deputy Superintendent. Her Superintendent contract was officially approved, and she will now lead Santa Ana Unified School District. Throughout the past four years, Dr. Perez has been a steady source of insight, strength, and thoughtful guidance, especially during challenging moments. Her dedication to equity and transparency in education has deeply resonated with our board’s commitment to serving our community. I am incredibly proud of Dr. Perez's achievement and excited for the future of Santa Ana under her leadership.
