Saw this today and had to laugh, but it's actually a good sign. Every foundational layer of technology starts this way -  when HTTP came out, only a handful of people knew what a web server was; when containerization started, it was mostly DevOps engineers talking to each other. MCP is at that same early-builder stage for agentic AI. It’s the connective layer that lets models share tools, memory, and context across systems, and eventually, across organizations. Once it matures, “MCP” will fade into the background, and users will just experience smoother, more capable AI systems that work together.
