Digital Integrity, Anonymity and Bitcoin

We were today at the Federal Parliament with Andy Yen from Proton, with Threema and with Nym to listen to the motion of Johanna Gapany asking the Federal Council to change their stand on Mass Surveillance. It is a partial success: - the current Swiss project of surveillance asking to ID users of VPN, messengers and emails, and collect metadata will be abandoned and an new project will be presented after an independent impact analysis will be made. - on the other hand, the answer of the Federal Council who agreed to review the proposal did not really gave us the confidence that the principle of mass surveillance will be fully dropped. Time will tell, the threat still remains. We will participate in the next consultation process, we keep fighting, and we are getting stronger, protecting privacy and digital integrity of people.
