NIHR Doctoral Fellow | AI | PCa | Clin Trials

Had a great time this week at the 6th AI4Imaging Course in Maastricht, Netherlands. Lots of learning (both technical and clinical) with a cohort of motivated researchers from all around the world (Brazil, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco) to name a few. One of my favourite sessions, and probably the least technical, was Kicky van Leeuwen speaking on "An overview of the availability and use of AI in imaging" highlighting important areas of regulation, cost of deployment and the lack of evidence on impact and high levels of efficacy. Another highlight was the Pro Tone's band! Founded when Maastro had dreams of delivering proton beam therapy (and now available!), they have performed far and wide including ESTRO in Barcelona. Great band, music and energy that positively charged us for a Maastricht night! Thank you to the course directors, faculty and students for delivering this course. Henry C Woodruff Zohaib Salahuddin Philippe Lambin, MD, Prof, PhD and many many more Thank you to the NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) Doctoral Award for supporting my attendance.
