After 7 years at Statkraft Brasil, I have closed a chapter I'm proud to have built. It was a journey of consistent learning and real contribution — in structuring portfolio management processes, navigating credit crises, and building tools that are now part of the company's daily operations. A special thank you to Natasha Gaertner and to my portfolio team — Raphael, Iggor, Rosana, and Pedro — for the partnership, and everything we built together. It was a privilege. Now, a new chapter begins. I am launching Lafranque Consulting — an independent consultancy focused on portfolio management, market and credit risk, commercial strategy, and pricing for the energy sector. I will be working across South American energy markets, with a focus on the Brazilian free market and expansion into other markets across the region. My core conviction is simple: good models are not enough when market conditions shift. The real value lies in the space between analytical sophistication and business reality — and that is exactly where I operate. A central part of my work is making complexity understandable. The power sector carries a technical and regulatory density that often isolates analysis from decision-making. I work to close that gap — translating sophisticated concepts into language that commercial, financial, and executive teams can use with confidence.
