Good news: Germany can modernize government. I’m so proud of our team and partners to really have an impact and driving the adoption of AI in Europe! 👏 This is exactly why we get up in the morning and #MakeDataWork! The Federal Ministry for Digital and State Modernization (Bundesministerium für Digitales und Staatsmodernisierung) received an international award at the World Governments Summit in Dubai (category: “Best Use of AI in Government Services”) for an #AgenticAI solution that helps accelerate planning and permitting procedures for infrastructure. What the solution supports in practice: > analyzes and structures application documents > checks completeness of required evidence > prepares well-founded decision recommendations And the most important part: the decision and legal responsibility stay with the human experts. That’s how you build trust. A strong signal: The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy initiated and funded the work. This is exactly the kind of “digital + industrial policy” #Europe needs more of. And my personal favorite: #OpenSource as a principle. If public sector AI isn’t reusable, it will never scale. Open source enables reuse across federal, state, and local levels and strengthens digital sovereignty in a very practical way.
