🇨🇭Switzerland, Zurich. The Dolder Grand. Zurich is not the busiest and noisiest city. However, it operates like a large and efficient mechanism with its infrastructure, which is, by the way, one of the most effective in the world. I have lived in this city for almost three years, and cannot say that the vibe of the city is in any way tiring or prompts one to leave in search of peace and quiet. But there are also places of absolute tranquillity and solitude here. One of these places is the Dolder Grand Hotel. Perched high on the Adlisberg hill, The Dolder Grand is iconic Swiss landmark that fuses two completely different eras - past and modernity. Striking architectural masterpiece where a fairy-tale 1899 Belle Époque castle flawlessly intertwines with sleek, modern wings designed by legendary architect Lord Norman Foster and you are actually sleeping alongside masterpieces. The hotel boasts collection of over 100 world-class artworks scattered throughout its halls, including original pieces by Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Takashi Murakami, and Joan Miró.The "City Resort" Located just minutes away from downtown Zurich via its own historic funicular railway, it offers the tranquil environment of an alpine retreat surrounded by forests, a golf course, and panoramic views of Lake Zurich and the Alps. Simply walk down direction towards Lake for 45 minutes and this walk will make your day! Hotel has a massive, award-winning 4,000-square-meter spa oasis alongside with nice gastronomy, including renowned 2-Michelin-starred restaurant led by Chef Heiko Nieder. Dream weekend. Hopefully no long Swiss rainy days so great walk in the forest is included. Whether you are having a glass of Swiss wine next to avant-garde art installations or soaking in outdoor whirlpools overlooking the snow-capped mountains, The Dolder Grand effortlessly bridges the gap between your dreams of calmness and the reality. Have a great Friday!
