Managing Director at Accenture Strategy

*** The future of work in the light of AI: A perspective from strategy consulting ***   Representing the European #Corporate #Strategy, #Growth & #Pricing Practice of #Accenture, yesterday I had the privilege to give a guest lecture in front of 400+ first year students at the University of Münster, Germany at the chairs of Thorsten Hennig-Thurau (Chair of Marketing & Media) and Sebastian Hohenberg (Chair of Digital Transformation). Thank you so much to Sebastian Hohenberg and Thorsten Hennig-Thurau for inviting me to discuss one of the most burning topic in these days for young talent.   The elephant in the room for young people is how the job market will change and how they can prepare for it: - How should they steer their education? - How should they build up their skill set in this rapidly evolving business world? - How should they cope with the chances and risks arising from Artificial Intelligence?   The students took part eagerly, asked very good questions and together we discussed our strategic theses for the upcoming world of work:   (1) AI is here to stay – if we do not lead AI, it will lead us (2) The AI-revolution taking place right now can have the dimension of the industrial revolution in the 19th century (3) Embrace the change – dealing with AI and its respective tools will be key for success (4) Chances of AI outweigh the risks, especially for agile, entrepreneurial and active individuals who are able to continuously re-invent themselves (5) Ethical standpoints play an important role in balancing the conflict of people-first vs. AI-first   Moreover, I was happy to share some insights in the daily life of strategy consultants deploying big commercial transformation programs.   Overall, I am very thankful for this great opportunity. I enjoyed the time with you all very much. I am really looking forward to shaping the future with these young talents. #accenture #UniversitätMünster, #growth, #pricing, #ai, #futureofwork #reinvention, #digitaltransformation Sebastian Hohenberg, Thorsten Hennig-Thurau, Maximilian Prell, Konstantin Müller, Annika Fricke, Finn Schweda, Helena Becker, Louisa Loers Johannes Trenka, Dr. Sven Kühlborn, Daniel Antolin, Daniel Lindner, Prof. Dr. Florian Bauer, Alexander Weigmann, Hardy Koth, Dr. Marcus F.
