I’m honored to share that I’ll be running the 2026 NYC Marathon in memory of my brother, Matthew Friedman, who passed away from a ruptured brain aneurysm in April 2023. Matthew and I shared many experiences, including attending Cornell together and running track in high school. I was always the sprinter, while he was the distance runner—the one constantly talking about marathons and endurance races. Running this marathon feels like a fitting way to honor him and the passion he brought to everything he did. Over the past three years, my family has worked tirelessly through the Matthew Friedman Memorial Foundation to honor his legacy and help prevent future tragedies like his by supporting brain aneurysm research and awareness, local scholarships, volunteer EMS organizations, and other community initiatives. I’d be grateful for any support as I raise funds for this mission. Thank you for helping us continue Matthew’s legacy, and I look forward to honoring him in November. https://lnkd.in/e7dhWuid
