Straight heels are like putting straight seats in a Porsche - they miss the point. Hit a twisty back-road and a real bucket seat glues your body to the chassis so you feel every move. Trade it for a flat bench and you’ll slide from door to door instead of steering. Shoes are no different. Without a “bucket” for the heel, your foot floats; even the fanciest lacing can’t pin it. Budget pairs fake the fix with a pillow of cheap foam - plush to the eye, but they can’t keep a heel in place.
