🔋 Please kindly check our latest 2 papers that just appeared in Journal of Power Souces Elsevier: ⚙️ "Influence of slurry drying machinery conditions on lithium-ion battery cathode microstructural properties: Multiscale modelling insights": This paper introduces a novel multiscale modeling approach for the slurry drying process. By coupling macro- and meso-scale models, we can now predict how heterogeneities in the drying machinery directly impact the final electrode microstructure and binder migration. https://lnkd.in/e2J_u35Y 🤖 "A physics-induced surrogate modeling framework for lithium-ion battery electrode manufacturing": This work demonstrates our Physics-Induced Electrode (PIE) manufacturing framework. We built Machine Learning surrogate models to simulate the slurry, drying, and calendering steps. Using SHAP analysis, we ensured these ML models aren't just "black boxes," but actually capture physical intuition for pilot line optimization. https://lnkd.in/edRwknQS Thank you very much for the great work of my former Postdocs Abhilash Valisammagari, PhD and Diego Galvez, my former PhD student Utkarsh Vijay, PhD, as well as my current postdocs Francisco Fernandez and Mohammed ALABDALI, PhD! Thanks also to Prof. Mark Asch for the very nice collaboration in the PIE paper.
