From a young age, Aubrey always knew what she wanted to be when she grew up — "A District Manager at ALDI." It all started with one of her role models, her dad. He was an ALDI store manager, and to Aubrey, he was the coolest. He'd take her into the stores and show her the behind the scenes, which felt really special as a kid. As she got older, that admiration turned into a goal. When she applied to college, she very specifically wrote in her application that she wanted to become a District Manager at ALDI. Her sophomore year she applied for an ALDI internship and didn't get it. At the time she was disappointed but that moment ended up shaping her career journey. She explored a variety of roles and industries which helped her realize what she truly wanted in a career. When the career fair rolled around senior year, she showed up prepared — researching all 150 companies and putting her notes in an alphabetized 1-inch binder. Ironically, ALDI was the only company she left blank because she didn't think she would have a second chance. Aubrey's ALDI story turned a new page when she noticed no line at the booth and decided to introduce herself, which led to an interview and eventually a job offer. Now she's one of the ALDI representatives on campus — talk about a full circle moment. Being part of a company that supported her family growing up and now supports her as a young professional makes it all the more meaningful.
