Forty years ago, Gloria walked into an ALDI interview alongside a long line of candidates — and walked out with one of three open spots! What followed was a career that grew. She went from cashier to assistant manager to store manager, running her own location for 12 years. Along the way, she had a little helper at home: her son. When he was younger, he used to quiz her on prices before her shifts, pointing to products on a sheet while she called out the numbers. He'd say "that's right, Mom!" and send her off ready to go.She's watched customers come in as new parents and return years later with grandchildren of their own.
