Presbyopia is a natural part of aging where it becomes difficult to focus on objects up close.¹ It's a condition that affects nearly everyone over 40,¹,² but awareness remains surprisingly low. In fact, only about 21% of adults who believe they have presbyopia have received a formal diagnosis, and many others aren’t sure what’s causing their symptoms.³ This Presbyopia Awareness Month, we sat down with Dr. Carla Mack, OD, MBA, FAAO, Dip(AAO), FBCLA, Head, Global and US Professional Education and Development, to bring more visibility to this common condition. We discuss ways to recognize early signs and symptoms, to new technology available to address vision changes caused by presbyopia. Schedule your routine eye exam to discuss your options with a trusted Eye Care Professional. #PresbyopiaAwarenessMonth #Alcon References 1. NIH. Presbyopia. 2026.
