On this day 700 years ago, 20 January 1320, Dante Alighieri pronounces here in Verona Church of St. Helena "Quaestio de Aqua et Terra" and becomes world's first geo-physicist & environmental scientist, advocating for science & rational inquiry to understand the nature of water, and the flow of the tides. Today, we have ISO standards and management systems to manage use of natural resources and energy by human organizations.
