The Swedish soprano Matilda Sterby is stunning as the Marschallin in Garsington opera's Country House production of Strauss's masterpiece Der Rosenkavalier. The glorious and graphic opening bars of the opera describe what is going on in the massive four-poster bed dominating the stage.
