We’re proud to recognize our very own Dr. Sean Smolenyak, who recently represented the North Carolina Optometric Society (NCOS) at UNC Pembroke’s district meeting! Dr. Smolenyak is not only a dedicated provider to his patients, but also a leader in advancing optometry across the state. At the event, he highlighted how UNC Pembroke’s new Doctor of Optometry program — the first public optometry degree in North Carolina — will bring much-needed vision care to rural and underserved communities. We’re grateful to have a doctor who is shaping the future of eye care both in our office and across the state.
