From Apprentice to Qualified Bricklayer✅🧱 We caught up with our bricklaying apprentice Tyler on his experience completing the Level 2 Bricklaying Apprenticeship Doncaster College. How did you find the Level 2 Bricklaying Apprenticeship? ‘I really enjoyed it. It was a good mix of learning in college and getting hands on experience on site. It gave me a bettter understanding of the trade and helped build my confidence in my own abilities’. How was your experience working on site with Albemarle Homes during your Apprenticeship? ‘It was a great experience. I enjoyed being part of a gang on site and working alongside experienced bricklayers. Overall, it gave me a realistic understanding of what working in the industry is like day to day’. What skills have you learnt? ‘I’ve learnt how to lay blocks and bricks to the standard expected on site. The support and guidance from both the bricklayers and site managers also helped with my confidence, and developed a strong awareness of health and safety on site’. What would you say to anyone else considering the Level 2 Bricklaying Apprenticeship? ‘I’d definitely recommend it if you enjoy practical work and being outdoors. It’s a great way to earn while you learn, gain real experience, and build skills that can lead to a long term career’. Congratulations Tyler👏🏻
